Leadership Coaching
Coaching is a form of "open space". It is a safe place to discover, develop, and flourish through good questions and active listening. Far from being a luxury for the "C-Suite", organizational leaders at any level can benefit from coaching, whether the focus is professional or personal (and often these overlap more than we think).
Examples of potential focus areas include:
Different From Therapy
Therapy is facilitated by a licensed counselor and focuses on pathology and/or the resolution of past issues that affect our present state. Coaching is facilitated by a trained professional and focuses on potential and the exploration of present issues that affect our desired future state. Coaching clients often express a sense of relief and/or release after working through issues with a coach, but certain issues are best handled by a counselor or licensed therapist.
Philosophical Statement
It is my belief that everyone has inherent value, worth, and a meaningful contribution to make in the world. I consider it a privilege to be welcomed as a trusted ear and voice as you make important next steps forward.
How It Works
A successful coaching experience largely depends on a good match between coach and client. To help determine if there may be a good connection between us, the initial coaching session is complimentary. During this first session we also will discuss initial areas of focus for the coaching experience.
For contracted clients, I use a retainer-based, monthly price structure so that we can meet with flexibility and at a pace appropriate to move you toward your goals -- without the financial hassle of per-meeting fees.
Coaching sessions usually last about an hour and can be done in person, by phone, or by video chat.
